UPAYA PENINGKATAN KESADARAN MASYARAKAT DALAM PENCEGAHAN PENYAKIT TIDAK MENULAR

Abstract

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are a global concern, with increasing prevalence. Prevention of NCDs needs to be done through health education as an effort to increase public awareness. NCDs are often asymptomatic and without complaints, so health screening is necessary. The aim of this community service program is to detect nutritional status through personal health checks and health education. The health education method is an interactive discussion, using leaflets as media. The results of the health examination showed that 34.7% of the 49 people showed the nutritional status of obesity, 28.6% were overweight and 2% were underweight. Active participant during health education on preventing NCDs. Health education needs to be carried out continuously to prevent NCDs in the community through the implementation of Germas.
