Abstract

This study aimed to determine the level of public knowledge about DAGUSIBU in RW 02, Rambutan Village, East Jakarta. This study used a quantitative descriptive method with 316 respondents.The population in this study was the entire community in RW 02, Rambutan Village, East Jakarta. The sample was calculated using the Solvin formula. The sample size was rounded to 316 respondents. Hypothesis: The level of knowledge of the community in RW 02, Rambutan Village, regarding DAGUSIBU (Get, Use, Save, and Dispose) is still low. Data analysis was conducted using univariate and bivariate analysis. Before distributing the questionnaire, the questionnaire was tested through validity and reliability testing.The results showed that the majority of respondents were female (181 people) (57.3%), with the highest age group being 36-45 (84 people) (26.6%), with the highest occupation being civil servants/private sector employees (149 people) (47.2%), and the highest educational level being high school/vocational high school (186 people) (58.9%).The level of knowledge about DAGUSIBU in RW 02, Rambutan Village, was poor (97 people) (30.7%), and 153 people (48.4%) had "adequate" knowledge. There was a significant correlation between education level and public knowledge about DAGUSIBU, with a p-value of 0.000. It can be concluded that the higher a person's education, the greater their knowledge about the correct use of medication. Therefore, public education about DAGUSIBU is crucial to reduce the risk of medication errors.
